People worried about tourism pressure in Mallorca can take their concerns directly to the ministry, Jaume Bauzá said in Palma. The tourism, culture and sport minister spoke on Monday, 31 August 2026, after meeting participants in the Neorama festival at Ca n'Oleo. He said he respected protests against tourist overcrowding.
Bauzá also defended the Government’s policies to contain tourism, pointing to a fall in holiday rentals. He said he understood there could be anger and that the Government was fully respectful of campaigners’ demands and protests.
