Mallorca: Two unlicensed riders stopped two minutes apart
Two minutes in Palma, Mallorca: police stop a moped rider, then a motorcyclist, and investigate both on suspicion of riding without ever obtaining a licence. The stops take place at Plaça de Miquel Dolç, at 00.30 and 00.32.
The first rider, 23, tells officers he has never held a licence. A records check confirms he has no driving authorisation. Police tell him he is under investigation but do not arrest him.
The second rider, 27, gives a different account. He says he lost both his Spanish and Colombian licences but did not report the loss. A records check shows no valid licence in his name, and police investigate him over the same alleged offence.
Palma Local Police say both vehicles were taken to the municipal depot at Son Toells. Officers have processed the case files for submission to the court’s duty investigating section.
