Aena makes 772.8 million euros in third-quarter profit, but Banco Sabadell expects little reaction in its share price. In Madrid on 28 October 2026, the bank said the airport operator’s results were broadly in line with forecasts despite a small earnings shortfall.

Costs take the edge off profit

Profit from July to September rose 12.7%, below the 15% increase analysts had expected. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) reached 1,279 million euros, up 7.5% against a forecast of 7.8%. Banco Sabadell pointed to rising costs and one-off items that squeezed margins. Without those items, EBITDA would have grown by 9.7%.

More passengers, little change in outlook

Quarterly revenue came close to 1,984 million euros, up 10.9%. Passenger numbers rose 4.6%, while charges per passenger have been 6.3% higher since March. Aena’s international business also grew.

Banco Sabadell expects no major changes to analysts’ forecasts after the results. It continues to recommend holding less Aena stock than the market average and keeps its target price at 25.70 euros a share.
