Mallorca: Air Europa Technics to expand aircraft training
Palma de Mallorca is in line for more aircraft maintenance training: Air Europa plans to strengthen its facilities there under a new brand, Air Europa Technics. The airline unveiled the brand on 4 November 2026 at the MRO Europe trade fair in Amsterdam. It will continue to maintain Air Europa’s own planes and aircraft flown by other operators.
The brand will support joint projects involving Air Europa Mantenimiento and Globalia Mantenimiento. Both businesses will keep their own structures and carry on their day-to-day work, the airline says. Air Europa also plans a dedicated team to sell maintenance services and joint purchasing of aircraft materials.
The training plans come as Air Europa prepares its operational and maintenance teams for the Airbus A350-900, which is due to arrive from 2028. As well as expanding training at its Palma facilities, the airline plans new training space in the hangar at Madrid-Barajas airport.
