Mallorca’s Alcúdia is seeing work on a power link: construction begins in October to bury the final stretch of the Sant Martí–Alcúdia line. The work forms part of a second electricity link between mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands, Redeia said on 28 October.
Redeia invested €1,138.9 million in the first nine months of 2026, up 17.7% on the same period in 2025. Of that, €1,092 million went to its subsidiary Red Eléctrica, mainly to develop and strengthen Spain’s electricity transmission network. The group’s net profit rose 5.3% to €410.3 million.
