The councillors lay flowers at the cemetery’s Plaza de la Llibertat and Plaza del Record, followed by a musical tribute. Martínez also remembers the victims of a train accident in Toledo and offers condolences to their families.

On Sunday morning, cellist Ela Mikhaylenco, violinist Soriana Ivanic and guitarist Damià Timoner are scheduled to perform in different parts of Palma Cemetery.

Palma’s Municipal Funeral Company has set up four information tents around the cemetery and an extra flower sales point at the Son Valentí funeral home. The municipal cemeteries open from 07.30 to 21.30 through Monday. Palma’s municipal bus operator, EMT, also runs a special service to Son Valentí Cemetery on Sunday.
