Palma’s municipal cemetery on Mallorca hosts live music and flower tributes on Sunday, 1 November, for All Saints’ Day. The nearby Camí de Ca l’Ardiaca closes to traffic and parking. The city’s municipal funeral company, Empresa Funeraria Municipal, has arranged special buses to help people reach the cemetery.

Music, flowers and services

Cello, violin and guitar performances will take place around the cemetery from 10.00 to 14.00. During a 10.00 visit, Mayor Jaime Martínez and other city representatives will lay wreaths at Plaça de la Llibertat and Plaça del Record. Another flower tribute follows at noon at the Mur de la Memòria.

Services are planned for 10.00 and noon at the cemetery’s central oratory, with others at Tanatorio II-Bon Sosec and the cemeteries in Establiments and Sant Jordi. Palma’s municipal cemeteries have extended opening hours from Friday through Monday, 2 November.

Buses and road closures

The Empresa Municipal de Transports de Palma will run a special bus from Sindicat towards Can Valero from Friday to Sunday, starting at 07.40 and departing roughly every 20 minutes. It stops at the cemetery. The L9 from Plaça d’Espanya is another option.

Vehicles cannot enter the cemetery unless they are for people with reduced mobility. If traffic or visitor numbers warrant it, the city may also close the stretch of Camí de Jesús between the cemetery roundabout and the Vía de Cintura roundabout.
