Mallorca’s Andratx bets on festivals all year round
Andratx on Mallorca wants to give people a reason to visit in every season: festivals, concerts and life in its streets are at the heart of a new tourism push. Andratx Town Council unveiled “Andratx es viu al carrer” at the World Travel Market in London on 3 November. The plan aims to draw attention to the municipality’s five communities, as well as its heritage and culture.
The council says celebrations, concerts and cultural activities bring residents and visitors together in Andratx’s streets and squares throughout the year. Mayor Estefanía Gonzalvo said the municipality wants to preserve its history and traditions while welcoming people from elsewhere. The message for visitors is to look beyond the beaches and get to know the place itself.
