In Eivissa, Ibiza, on 7 November, Francina Armengol demands to know whether People’s Party (PP)-run administrations give money to Okdiario. Reports say the news outlet pays for Koldo García’s legal defence. Armengol, who leads the Balearic Socialist Party, says the PP should explain any payments.

She says any mayor or president of the Ibiza Island Council giving money to Okdiario should explain why. She also asks whether they have closer ties to García than they have disclosed. Armengol does not say whether any payments have been made.

Armengol also responds to an Última Hora report that the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office wants García and Víctor de Aldama tried over alleged irregularities in the purchase of face masks. She says her party has always told the truth about the case and that no official or political office-holder from the Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party (PSOE) has been accused. She rejects the Balearic PP’s allegations about her handling of the pandemic, calling her government’s decisions honest and transparent.
