Mallorca’s MÉS per Mallorca is part of a left-wing Senate election alliance across the Balearic Islands: PSIB-PSOE leader Francina Armengol is defending that pact while attacking an agreement between the PP and Vox in Spain’s Senate. In comments released by her party on Monday, 26 October, she accused the PP of giving itself over entirely to the far right. She said the parties now say, think and vote the same way, govern together and stand together.

The Balearic alliance brings together the PSIB, MÉS per Mallorca, Sumar and Esquerra Unida. Armengol said her party had done its part to bring it about.

Looking ahead to Spain’s general election on 29 November, she urged the left to mobilise for another four years of progressive government. She cast the vote as a choice between further change and a return to the past.
