Mallorca: Prohens to honour 41 athletes before cup tie

Mallorca: 41 Balearic athletes are set to be honoured in Palma on Tuesday, 27 October, with regional president Marga Prohens attending before a Copa del Rey match in Manacor.

The ceremony at the Consolat de Mar begins at 17.25. It recognises achievements the athletes made in their sports between June and September 2026. Tourism, Culture and Sports Minister Jaume Bauzá and sports director general Joan Antoni Ramonell will attend, along with the athletes’ families and representatives of invited sports federations.

Nil Riudavets will speak on behalf of the athletes. Prohens will close the ceremony with a speech.

At 21.00, Club Esportiu Manacor plays Villarreal Club de Fútbol at Na Capellera stadium in Manacor. Prohens is due to attend the Copa del Rey tie. Club president Sergi Muntaner, Manacor council members and Balearic Football Federation president Jordi Horrach will welcome her on arrival.
