Athletic Club de Montuïri unveil squad in Mallorca
Athletic Club de Montuïri unveiled its squad, coaching staff and board in Montuïri, Mallorca, on Saturday afternoon, with the president of the Council of Mallorca, Llorenç Galmés, attending the event.
The presentation was followed by the traditional Trofeu Sant Bartomeu. This year, the tournament coincided with the opening round of the Copa Illes Balears, in which the Montuïri side faced UE Petra.
Es Revolt sports complex upgrades
Galmés highlighted improvement work carried out at the Es Revolt sports facilities during the current term. The complex has received new lighting, renewed grass and upgrades to its stands and changing rooms.
A third padel court is also planned. The Council of Mallorca said it has invested almost €270,000 in sporting facilities in Montuïri during the current term.
Wider funding for Montuïri
The island authority's overall investment in the municipality is close to €3.3 million, according to the Council of Mallorca.
Montuïri mayor Toni Miralles, Balearic Football Federation president Jordi Horrach, Tourism, Culture and Sports councillor Jaume Bauzá, and sports director Joan Toni Ramonell also attended.
