Mallorca woman, 26, dies in Toledo train crash
Mari Carmen García, 26, from Inca, Mallorca, is among the dead after Wednesday’s train crash near Urda in Toledo province. Europa Press confirmed her identification on Friday. She was in carriage 7 of the AVE train when it collided with an Iryo train.
García, who lived and worked in Madrid, was travelling to Seville for work with a colleague and two photographers. After the crash, her parents went to mainland Spain and reported her missing to the Civil Guard. They searched hospitals in Madrid through Thursday night without finding her.
Relatives and people from her workplace posted appeals on social media. On Friday, the father of the colleague travelling with García asked publicly for help finding her. She was the only one of the four travelling for work whose whereabouts remained unknown.
