Mallorca’s Azulmarino Basket lands CaixaBank deal

On Mallorca, in the Balearic Islands, women’s basketball club Azulmarino Basket Mallorca has a new official sponsor for the 2026-2027 season: CaixaBank. The bank announced the deal on Tuesday, 29 September. Its backing will include brand visibility, charity events and events promoting women’s sport, as well as exclusive activities for CaixaBank customers.

Club chief executive Gabriel Subías said World2Meet started the project to give Mallorcan players a club they could join. He called CaixaBank a solid partner for that goal. María Cruz Rivera, CaixaBank’s regional director in the Balearic Islands, said the deal would also help make women in sport more visible as role models.

CaixaBank has backed Spanish basketball since 2013. It sponsors the Spanish Basketball Federation and the country’s women’s and men’s national teams across all age groups.
