The call sets aside €100,000 for food distribution and €387,000 for programmes supplying both food and other essentials. A further €12,500 is earmarked for social canteens.

The grants form part of a €15.3 million package for social projects addressing the economic effects of the conflict in the Middle East. The government says uncertainty caused by international conflicts hits the most vulnerable households.
