Balearic property investment hits €579 million
The Balearic Islands, including Mallorca, draw €579 million in property investment from January to September 2026. The figure, published by property firm CBRE on Wednesday, 21 October, covers the whole island group — not Mallorca alone. Across Spain, investment reaches €16,383 million over the same period, up 25% on a year earlier.
That is Spain’s highest total for the first nine months of a year since CBRE’s records began. Madrid leads with nearly €8,000 million, followed by Barcelona with €2,100 million.
Across Spain, housing and related property, including student accommodation, attracts the most investment: €5,856 million, or 36% of the total. Hotels follow with €2,922 million. CBRE expects property investment across Spain to grow by more than 15% in 2026 compared with 2025.
