Housing minister José Luis Mateo told parliament on Tuesday 3 November that he wants the office to open as soon as possible. It will offer support and guidance to those affected.

The office was agreed with Vox. Its MP Patricia de las Heras said it already has a framework and a budget, but still needs lawyers before it can open.
