Balearic yacht firms chase new deals in Monaco

Balearic yacht businesses are using the Monaco Yacht Show on 26 September to seek international work, new commercial openings and industry contacts. The Balearic government is backing their overseas push. The trip also puts Palma’s next major boat show in front of leading sailing-yacht yards.

The Ministry of Business, Self-Employed Workers and Energy says the Monaco event is a key global meeting point for boat repair and maintenance, with a concentration of large yachts. Alejandro Sáenz de San Pedro, the minister, visited the Balearic businesses at the show with Silvia Delgado, managing director of the Balearic Regional Development Agency.

Sáenz de San Pedro also met industry representatives at the Balearic Marine Cluster stand. Many of the businesses have received internationalisation grants from the ministry, funded through Feder funds.

Palma show seeks major sailing-yacht yards

The Monaco visit is also being used to promote the Palma International Boat Show, due to run from 28 April to 1 May 2027. Meetings have been held with leading yards specialising in large sailing yachts in an effort to bring them into the show.

The aim is to build up the Superyacht Sailing Hub, a new section of the Palma event. Its most recent edition displayed twice as many boats as before.
