Balearics holiday lets: 351,324 guests, fewer nights

Holiday apartments across the Balearic Islands welcomed 351,324 guests in July, up 15.3% on a year earlier. But the number of overnight stays fell 2.5% to 1.56 million. The National Statistics Institute (INE) released the figures on Monday.

Most guests came from abroad: 291,946, compared with 59,378 domestic travellers. Their average stay was 4.45 days.

There were 21,160 holiday apartments open across the islands, with room for 65,919 people. Occupancy reached 83.33%, rising to 84.70% at weekends.

Rural accommodation recorded 73,529 guests in July, including 61,547 from overseas and 11,982 domestic travellers. They generated 265,974 overnight stays and stayed for an average of 3.62 days.

Across Spain, overnight stays in holiday apartments were unchanged from July last year. Prices for holiday apartments rose 6.2% compared with July 2025.
