Banca March has operated in Luxembourg through a branch since 2012. That operation is due to gain its own banking licence on 1 January 2027, making it a subsidiary. The bank plans to direct its growth outside Spain from there, with Lisbon as the first step.

Banca March also plans to distribute investment products across the European Union from Luxembourg under rules known as UCITS. It says the arrangement will make distribution quicker and more efficient. José Manuel Arcenegui, president of Banca March Luxembourg, said the bank could reach new markets and clients through its own growth or possible tie-ups.
