Banca March seeks €300 million for private equity fund
€300 million is the target: Banca March has launched a private equity fund that will invest in private companies through other funds, focusing on the United States and Europe. The bank announced March PE Global IV on 19 October, Europa Press reported from Madrid, Spain. The Banca March Group will commit 20% of the target itself.
The fund is the fourth in the bank’s international programme. It will invest through funds specialising in mid-sized companies and sectors including technology, health, services and the energy transition. Banca March will offer investors financing for up to 50% of their capital payments.
While the portfolio is being built, fees will be based on capital paid in, rather than the amount investors have committed. The three earlier programmes raised more than €960 million. They currently hold 39 funds, which between them have invested in more than 400 private companies.
