Banca March opens Vigo hub to triple Galicia business

Banca March opens its first business centre for Galicia in Vigo on 21 September, aiming to triple its €750 million business volume in the region within three to five years. The 475-square-metre centre is inside the El Moderno building at Policarpo Sanz 1. It is the bank’s new base for private-banking clients, family businesses and entrepreneurial families in Galicia.

New base in El Moderno

The centre has a reception and waiting area with a cash desk, a cash machine and five private meeting rooms with audiovisual equipment. It also includes an event room for 50 people, a room for 18 advisers and support areas.

Andrés del Río, the Vigo office director, leads the specialist team. Banca March starts with eight professionals at the centre and expects to increase that number to 18 in the medium term.

Growth target after rise since 2022

Banca March says its business volume in Galicia has risen from €500 million in 2022 to €750 million. It now plans to grow both its client base and the volume of business handled in the region.

Chief executive José Luis Acea said Galicia has significant growth potential. The bank wants to strengthen its position in private banking and business advice, with particular focus on family firms and business-owning families.
