Mallorca’s capital, Palma, adds six BiciPalma stations and 150 electric bikes: five of the stops are on the coast. Mayor Jaime Martínez announced the completed expansion on Friday, 2 October 2026.

Where the new stations are

The stations are at Hospital Sant Joan de Déu, Ciudad Jardín, Es Carnatge, Cala Gamba, Can Pastilla and Son Rapinya. Each has 15 or 16 places to dock a bike, except the hospital station, which has ten. Martínez said hospital staff had asked for a station there.

The city spent 750,000 euros on this phase, bringing BiciPalma to 102 stations and 1,080 bikes. Martínez said the new locations make cycling along the coast easier and bring the service to more neighbourhoods.

More stations to come

Palma City Council has already started the next phase. It plans 18 more stations, mainly along Paseo Marítimo and Playa de Palma, plus 230 electric bikes. The budget is 950,000 euros.

By the end of the council’s term, the city expects more than 140 stations and nearly 1,300 bikes in service. BiciPalma has also recently reached the University of the Balearic Islands, where its stations record more than 1,000 trips a month.
