Palma adds three BiciPalma stations as 230 e-bikes follow

On Friday, BiciPalma brings three new stations into service in Palma, Mallorca, at Son Castelló, Sa Indioteria and Son Sardina. The municipal bike-hire network is nearing the end of its third expansion phase, Palma City Council says. The Son Castelló station is at the sports training centre on Gran Vía Asima.

Third phase nears completion

The Son Castelló station has ten docking spaces. The new station on Calle Santiago Álvarez Avellán in Sa Indioteria has 17, while the one on Calle Ave Maria in Son Sardina has ten.

BiciPalma added stations in Sa Teulera, Son Dureta, Son Armadams and Avenida Picasso, in Ponent, in July. Stations are still due in Son Rapinya, Cala Gamba, Coll d'en Rabassa, Ciutat Jardí and Can Pastilla.

230 e-bikes planned for next phase

Palma City Council has awarded the supply contract for the fourth expansion phase, with an investment of 950,000 euros. It includes 230 electric bikes and 18 stations: 13 in Playa de Palma and five on Paseo Marítimo.

Once the third and fourth phases are complete, BiciPalma will have 125 stations and 1,250 bikes. More than 51,000 people are registered with the service, which recorded more than 1.6 million journeys in 2025.
