More than 50 travel agencies from the Basque Country meet 45 tourism exhibitors in Bilbao, Spain, on Thursday as a 10-city tour comes to an end. The Spanish Confederation of Travel Agencies says its Protour 2026 events have brought together more than 1,000 agencies during the year.

The Bilbao meeting gives agencies a chance to hear about new offers from destinations, airlines, shipping companies, insurers and service firms. They can also make contacts and explore business opportunities. Confederation president José Manuel Lastra says the meetings help the organisation learn what agencies need.

Aragón, Germany and Abu Dhabi are the tour’s featured destinations this year. Earlier stops include Zaragoza, Valencia, Tenerife and Gran Canaria. In Bilbao, exhibitors also take a guided city tour and travel along the estuary aboard Ekokat, a fully electric boat.
