On Mallorca, a Blocus Mallorca call-out ends in a clash at Plaza de España in Palma on Friday: police draw up 40 reports of alleged offences. A group confronts people camping at the square over housing after the call-out spreads on social media. The National Police say officers prevent a bigger confrontation and return nine minors to their parents over alleged offences.

Police draw up 14 reports for possession of weapons, five for drugs and 21 for carrying corrosive material, aluminium foil and balaclavas. A 13-year-old throws a stone at officers during the clash, according to police.

The police operation continues on Saturday after an anonymous Instagram account calls for another gathering at the square at 19.30. Some shops in central Palma, particularly near Plaza de España, keep up the wooden boards they fitted on Friday to protect their windows.
