Palma, Mallorca: A second protest call by Blocus draws no significant response on Saturday, 31 October, as families with children in costume gather in the Plaza de España for Halloween. Spain’s National Police and Palma’s Local Police stand at the square’s entrances, stopping groups of young people to check their identities and search their belongings. Shops remain open as usual.

The first call, shared on social media, named the Plaza de España as the meeting point at 19.30, though other posters gave 18.00. Shortly after 17.00, the Instagram account changed the location to the Plaza del Olivar. Neither square saw significant protest activity during the afternoon.

It was Blocus’s second call in Palma in two days. At Friday’s gathering, the National Police filed 40 reports for various offences and handed nine minors over to their parents after offences. The gathering ended in a clash between a group and people camping in the Plaza de España for housing. Officers prevented a larger confrontation.
