Mallorca Blocus rally call prompts police deployment

On Mallorca, anonymous Instagram accounts urge people to gather at Plaza de España in Palma, Mallorca, at 19.30 on Friday. Spain’s National Police say they have found no organised Blocus group in the city, but plan a precautionary deployment this weekend.
The call asks for “a fairer future” and “a better Mallorca for everyone”. Police say the gathering has not been reported to the Government Delegation. They have found no organised group in Palma like those apparently behind the unrest in Barcelona.
Saturday’s Halloween celebrations are also a factor in the police plan. Officers say the deployment will not be a special operation and will have no extra reinforcements.
