Sant Antoni boat ramp completed at Punta de Cala Gració

Sant Antoni de Portmany Town Council has completed a new boat ramp at Punta de Cala Gració, in the Ses Eufàbies area of Ibiza. Announced on 20 August, the facility provides a further point for launching and recovering smaller vessels.

The €132,248 project occupies 263 square metres of public maritime-terrestrial land. Its concrete ramp measures 14.22 metres long and 10.75 metres wide, with a 12 per cent gradient designed to help trailer vehicles manoeuvre.

The new facility is intended to reduce demand at the municipality’s only previous public ramp, on the urban beach at Caló des Moro. It moves towing vehicles to a less central location with more room for access and manoeuvres.

The council also said the ramp could help address the shortage of berths and illegal moorings in several local coves. It will make it easier for boats to be removed from the sea and taken to dry marinas, while avoiding unnecessary vehicle journeys through the wet area.
