Body of 64-year-old recovered off Menorca coast

A 64-year-old man’s body has been recovered from the sea at Cala de s'Enclusa in northern Menorca. The man was from Es Mercadal. Salvamento Marítimo, Spain’s maritime rescue service, brought him ashore on Saturday, 26 September.
Emergency teams had received a report of a body in the water on Friday. The body was then taken to the port of Maó, where the official recovery procedure was carried out.
The Civil Guard’s Judicial Police and its Special Group for Underwater Activities will lead the investigation.
