Officials review what inspectors found
Inspectors spoke to the people staying in the properties and gathered details about their accommodation and rent payments. The records have gone to the relevant authorities to decide whether further action or penalties over housing and habitability rules are needed.
Some checks followed work by Sant Antoni staff looking for possible illegal holiday lets and other cases that may need official action. The inspections are also part of joint work with the Ibiza island council against illegal letting. Sant Antoni council has asked people to report suspected illegal holiday lets or substandard housing. The Balearic regional government also has a housing complaints channel on its website.
