Palma Bus 32 reaches s'Arenal at end of October

Palma's Bus 32 will run to s'Arenal de Llucmajor and Son Oms at the end of October. The Consorcio de Transportes de Mallorca approved the extension on Wednesday. The longer route will strengthen the link between Palma, s'Arenal de Llucmajor and Son Llàtzer University Hospital.

At present, Bus 32 runs from central Palma through Son Llàtzer, Es Coll d'en Rabassa, Can Pastilla, Es Pil·larí and Playa de Palma. Its new section will continue on to the s'Arenal de Llucmajor area.

The extension adds to the existing Palma–s'Arenal de Llucmajor services: EMT's Bus 23 and the TIB's 504 route between Tolleric and Palma. EMT, the Consorcio de Transportes de Mallorca and Llucmajor Town Hall are working together on the change.

Five stops in s'Arenal de Llucmajor are set for accessibility improvements. Four are used only by EMT and one is shared with TIB. A further stop is planned in Carrer de Sant Cristòfol, opposite the petrol station, to help regulate the service.
