Cala en Bosc head-on crash injures three

Three people were injured when two cars collided head-on on the Cala en Bosc road in Ciutadella, Menorca, at 5.30am on Monday, 24 August. The Civil Guard’s Traffic Group is investigating how the crash occurred.

A 29-year-old woman was transferred to Son Espases University Hospital with serious facial and abdominal injuries. A 34-year-old man was admitted to the intensive care unit at Mateu Orfila Hospital with severe abdominal trauma, while a 34-year-old woman with a broken arm remained on a ward at the Menorca hospital.

The three injured people had been travelling in the same vehicle. An 18-year-old in the second car was treated at Clínica Juaneda de Ciutadella.

Ciutadella Local Police initially raised the possibility that somebody had left the scene, but Civil Guard sources ruled this out.
