Mallorca water warning: Campos taps unsafe to drink

Tap water in Campos, Mallorca, should not be drunk or used for cooking after sodium levels rose above the permitted limit. The water has a slightly salty taste. Campos Town Hall issued the warning on 8 September.
The public supply can still be used for personal hygiene and household tasks. The council and the Mancomunitat del Migjorn say they will alert the public once sodium returns to the permitted level.
Campos has also called for careful use of water. The municipal network must not be used to fill swimming pools or water vegetable plots and gardens.
