Mallorca rape trial over car massage near es Capdellà

On Mallorca, a man goes on trial on Monday at 9.30 am, accused of raping a woman in a car near es Capdellà, Mallorca. The Balearic Islands Provincial Court will hear the case. Prosecutors say the alleged attack happened on the afternoon of 8 January 2024, when the woman met him in his car to give him a massage, as she had done before.
According to the prosecution, the man offered to massage her and asked her to lie face down. It alleges that he then held her firmly to stop her moving and raped her.
Prosecutors are seeking an eight-year prison sentence for sexual assault and 7,000 euros in compensation for the woman.
