Mallorca and Ibiza care centres draw 661 visitors
On Mallorca, in the Balearic Islands, four care and support centres open their doors on Monday and Tuesday. Across Mallorca and Ibiza, the week’s open days draw 661 visitors. Three residential and day centres on Ibiza open on Wednesday and Thursday.
The Mallorca centres are Son Güells and Son Tugores, which offer residential and day care, the Son Llebre residence and the Sa Riera occupational centre. On Ibiza, visitors go to the residential and day centres at Sa Serra, Can Raspalls and Can Blai.
The centres belong to the Foundation for Care and Support for Dependency and Promotion of Personal Autonomy. The Balearic Islands’ Department of Families, Social Welfare and Care for Dependent People says the open days aim to show people how the centres work.
Visitors include care professionals, organisations, students and teachers. The invitation also extends to families of people who use the centres and anyone interested in their residential and day services, including the person-centred approach used at each one.
