Eivissa's Carmen Ferrer bids for Spanish Senate seat

Santa Eulària, Eivissa: mayor Carmen Ferrer is the People's Party's candidate for the Spanish Senate in the 29 November general election. She is the party's first candidate since Eivissa gained its own constituency, the party said. Javier Marí Álvarez and Neus Mateu Roselló are on the list as substitutes.

Ferrer says Pedro Sánchez's government has failed to invest enough in Eivissa and has lost touch with the island's problems. She wants a change of government led by Alberto Núñez Feijóo.

In the Senate, Ferrer says she would bring the approach she has used in Santa Eulària: listening to people, tackling their problems and keeping promises. She also calls for trust in public institutions to be restored.
