A court-ordered eviction at Casa Lola in Sant Josep, Ibiza, ends without incident on Tuesday, 27 October, the owners’ lawyers say. Civil Guard officers and local police arrive at the property early in the morning, alongside a team from municipal social services. The operation follows an order from Investigating Court No. 2 in Ibiza.

The owners’ lawyers, Rodríguez Tur Abogados, said on Monday that private security would guard the property. They also plan to seal and brick up the building to prevent another illegal occupation. The owners then aim to clean and renovate the property and restore peace to neighbours in the area.

The lawyers say the occupation lasted months and was marked by repeated incidents, altercations, assaults and fires. They also link one person’s death to the occupation.
