Casa Lola eviction on Ibiza ruled out for Tuesday

Responsible for this content: Frank Menze

The occupied Casa Lola property in Sant Josep on Ibiza will not be cleared on Tuesday, the owner’s lawyer says on Monday, 5 October. He says he checked directly with the Civil Guard. Officers had warned the occupants that eviction was imminent, but had given them no date.

A court in Eivissa ordered the eviction as an interim measure on 30 September. Police are now preparing the operation to carry it out.

Once the owner regains possession, the first step will be to assess the property’s condition and the costs involved. The owner then plans to brick up the house, clear the plot and take any security measures needed to prevent it being occupied again.
