Ibiza cats cleared after neglect fears in Es Cubells

Cats at a property in Es Cubells, Sant Josep, Ibiza, are in good condition after an inspection found no signs of animal cruelty. Sant Josep Town Hall said on Friday that officers saw no situation requiring action by the municipality.

Local Police officers and a vet from the Centre for the Protection of Domestic Animals inspected the site after concerns about the condition of a group of cats. The adult cats had been sterilised and fitted with microchips, the town hall said.

Police were also told that some animals may previously have been taken by people who entered the property without permission. The site had also suffered vandalism.

Sant Josep Town Hall said it will keep monitoring the case and make further visits to check on the cats.
