Ibiza Ceuta rallies set for 20.00 on Wednesday
At 20.00 on Wednesday, people will gather outside town halls across Eivissa, Ibiza, for rallies backing Ceuta and its people. The island’s municipalities have called the events to coincide with the Day of Ceuta. Eivissa’s Partido Popular (PP) is supporting the gatherings and urging islanders to attend.
Island PP spokesman Toni Ramón said Ceuta was going through a difficult moment and should not be left without support. He said the rallies would show solidarity, back Spain’s national sovereignty and call for normality to return quickly.
Ramón also accused Pedro Sánchez’s government of failing to act over the situation in Ceuta. The PP, he said, has already filed proposals in Congress on national security, strengthening the border, migration control and migrant returns.
