Mallorca child protection course: enrol by 9 November
Mallorca’s 150-hour child protection course starts on 17 November 2026: applicants have until 9 November to enrol. The Mallorcan Institute of Social Affairs and the University of the Balearic Islands are offering the course for a second year. Classes will take place at the university’s Sa Riera building.
The course trains people who work with children, teenagers and their families. Its five modules cover prevention, child protection and family support, combining theory with practical methods for handling situations that arise at work. The course carries 30 university credits (ECTS).
It is open to current and future social services and social education professionals, as well as people with qualifications in healthcare, law and related fields. The training runs until 29 April 2027. Guillermo Sánchez, president of the Mallorcan Institute of Social Affairs, said professionals need specialist knowledge and tools to spot risks and respond appropriately.
