Palma child sex abuse trial: prosecutor seeks 10 years
Prosecutors seek ten years in prison in Palma, Mallorca: a man goes on trial on Thursday 5 November accused of sexually abusing his partner’s daughter when she was 12 or 13. The hearing starts at 11.30 am before the First Section of the Provincial Court.
According to the prosecution, the man lived with the girl and her mother. It alleges that when the mother was away, he walked naked in front of the girl, watched her as she left the bathroom or changed clothes, and made sexual remarks. Prosecutors also accuse him of touching her sexually and threatening her not to tell anyone. They say she was afraid.
An order already bars the man from approaching or contacting the girl. Prosecutors want a further ten-year restraining order alongside the prison sentence.
