Palma child sex assault trial: prosecutors seek 10 years
A man goes on trial in Palma, Mallorca, on Tuesday, 6 October, accused of sexually assaulting his partner’s granddaughter when she was aged between five and eight. Prosecutors are seeking a ten-year prison sentence and €5,000 in compensation. The hearing is due to begin at 10am before the First Section of the Balearic Islands Provincial Court.
According to the prosecution, the alleged assaults took place between 2021 and 2024, when the girl was sometimes left in the man’s care. In two incidents set out in the charges, he allegedly forced her to touch him sexually at a home in Palma.
