Mallorca's capital, Palma, puts more than 100 children's events on its November programme: concerts, workshops and visits run from 4 to 28 November. Palma City Council said on Monday that its Month of Childhood and Adolescence lasts longer this year. The programme also includes activities for teenagers, schools and people who work with young people.

Music, visits and school concerts

Fira B! Música runs from 4 to 7 November. Families can visit Bellver Castle and the caves of Gènova, while the Palma Municipal Music Band will play a family concert, “La Magia de Disney”, at the Xesc Forteza theatre.

Schools can attend the band's educational concerts from 10 to 13 November. The Miró Mallorca Foundation will also offer activities about Joan Miró for schools and social organisations.

Workshops across Palma

Neighbourhood centres will hold free workshops on children's rights and having a say, aimed mainly at six- to 12-year-olds. Municipal libraries will offer storytelling, games, science activities and creative workshops.

The programme ends on 28 November with a free party in Sa Riera park. Activities for different ages run from 10.00 to 14.00.
