Mallorca: Port de Sóller clinic moves over roof leaks
Port de Sóller, Mallorca: roof leaks send the local clinic’s care services to the Serra Nord health centre in Sóller from Friday, 16 October. The move is temporary. Water gets through the clinic’s roof whenever it rains, according to the Balearic Islands health ministry.
The leaks disrupt care at the Port de Sóller clinic. The ministry says the building can no longer provide suitable conditions for patients or staff.
Sóller council owns the building. Fixing its roof would require complex work and a lengthy closure while the repairs are arranged and carried out. Mallorca Primary Care Management and the council have discussed the problem, and the council is now considering a new site for the clinic. Both bodies have apologised for any inconvenience caused by the move.
