Mallorca: Coca-Cola staff to build garden from pallets
In Palma, Mallorca, Coca-Cola staff plan to build a vertical garden from recycled pallets with people who use the Projecte Home centre. The work is due to take place during the company’s forthcoming third Volunteer Week, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners says. The garden is intended to make the centre more welcoming for people who come there every day.
On Menorca, staff will work with Projecte Home on a therapeutic urban garden. They plan to put up its structure, prepare the space and sow the first seeds.
The company allows staff to spend up to two paid working days a year on volunteering. It says employees gave more than 7,200 hours in 2025 and more than 46,000 hours in total since 2019.
On Ibiza, volunteers will help at the Sa Coma Animal Protection Centre, which is run by Ibiza City Council. They will spend time with the dogs, walk them and play with them. The company says this should help reduce the dogs’ stress in the shelter and prepare them for possible adoption.
