Mallorca Copa del Rey draw: Manacor host Villarreal

Manacor, Mallorca, gets a Champions League opponent: CD Manacor will host Villarreal CF at Estadio Na Capellera in the first round of the Copa del Rey. Monday’s draw in Las Rozas sets up the tie between a Tercera RFEF club and a side playing in this season’s Champions League. First-round matches take place on 27, 28 and 29 October.

Three other Mallorca clubs now know their opponents. RCD Mallorca travel to CD Alcoyano, UD Poblense host AD Ceuta CF, and CD Atlético Baleares welcome CD Eldense.

The draw grouped clubs by geographical proximity and, where possible, matched lower-division sides with higher-division opponents. Four teams playing in the Spanish Super Cup — FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atlético and Real Sociedad — sit out this round. The other 112 teams play 56 ties, with the winners going through to the second round.
