On Mallorca, in Spain’s Balearic Islands, MÉS per Mallorca has chosen Rosa Cursach to run for the Senate in the 29 November general election. The party made its decision on 23 October 2026. Its choice for Spain’s Congress of Deputies, Carme Gomila, still needs another vote before her candidacy is confirmed.

Cursach won the party’s Senate nomination ahead of Aina Amengual, a councillor in Marratxí on Mallorca. Cursach serves on the Council of Mallorca and will take MÉS per Mallorca’s place on the Acord de Progrés per Mallorca ticket, alongside PSIB, Sumar and Esquerra Unida.

People familiar with the agreement told Europa Press that Cursach would share a ticket with a candidate already chosen by Sumar. If they win the seat, each would serve for half the parliamentary term.

Gomila faces a vote on Saturday morning by the federal committee of Ara Més’s three member parties. She is the only candidate, and the deadline for submitting electoral lists is Monday. If approved, she will head the Ara Més-Front Ampli ticket for Congress. Gomila served on Manacor town council on Mallorca from 2019 to 2026 and leads Esquerra Republicana in the Balearic Islands.
