Ibiza opens Dalt Vila for 500 heritage events

Ibiza’s walled Dalt Vila opens after dark on 11 and 12 September, with music in the Sala del Polvorín and a dance performance in the Town Hall cloister. The island is part of a programme of more than 500 cultural events across 15 Spanish UNESCO World Heritage cities.

The ninth edition of Las Noches del Patrimonio also opens the Museu d’Art Contemporani and the Museu Puget in Ibiza. The Group of Spanish World Heritage Cities is behind the event.

Music, dance and night-time heritage

Across the 15 cities, the programme includes night visits to historic sites, contemporary dance, concerts, workshops, theatre, exhibitions and participatory activities. Rubén Viñuales, president of the Group of Spanish World Heritage Cities, said the project aims to turn these places into meeting points for visitors and local people.

A new name and two weekends

The 2026 edition begins a new phase. After eight years as La Noche del Patrimonio, the event has been renamed Las Noches del Patrimonio and will now run over two weekends with programmes tailored to each city.

Its three strands are Abierto Patrimonio, for night-time visits to historic places; Vive Patrimonio, for local cultural events; and Escena Patrimonio, which puts contemporary performing arts in heritage settings. Accessible venues and easy-read materials are also planned to help more people take part.
